Class Levels and Descriptions
Children’s Dance, Acting and Voice Lessons for Ages 3 -17
Primary Division
For Ages 3-6. An introduction to dance and theater through creative movement. ChristinaNoel’s teaching process is to first focus on the children’s imaginations by employing exercises in creativity. Students are given the opportunity to sing, stretch, and increase self-confidence while being introduced to basic ballet and modern dance concepts.
Students perform in In-Studio Observations at the end of each semester.

Elementary Divsion
Introductory Ballet and Modern Dance Theater Classes for Elementary School Students.

All Students perform in a showcase at the end of the year.

Ballet 1
Teaches students the fundamentals of ballet technique. Students begin to learn proper alignment, vocabulary and dance studio etiquette. Students will explore creative modalities such as movement composition and improvisation.
Modern 1
Modern Dance class that explores creative modalities such as movement composition and improvisation as well as dance theater elements such as vocalization, and acting. Students begin to learn the fundamentals of modern dance including proper alignment, vocabulary and dance studio etiquette.
Dance Classes
Ballet 2
Builds upon the ballet fundamentals learned in Level 1. Barre work is introduced. Emphasizes proper alignment, and begins to focus on developing strength, building endurance and increasing flexibility. Students will explore creative modalities such as movement composition and improvisation.
Modern 2
Builds upon the fundamentals learned in Level 1. Emphasizes proper alignment, and begins to focus on developing strength, building endurance and increasing flexibility. Students will continue to explore creative modalities such as movement composition and improvisation as well as dance theater elements such as vocalization, and acting.
Ballet 3
Building upon Levels 1 &2, Students will improve their concentration, strength, and proficiency in fundamental ballet steps and concepts, preparing for Pre Professional training.
Modern 3
Building upon Levels 1 &2, Students will improve their concentration, strength, and proficiency in fundamental dance steps and concepts. Students will explore creative modalities such as movement composition and improvisation, as well as dance theater elements such as vocalization, and acting.
Ballet 4
Class follows a traditional ballet class structure. Intermediate barre work, center exercises and movement combinations. Students will learn technique and placement, while emphasizing musicality. Combinations to strengthen the legs, ankles, and feet are introduced in preparation for pointe work.
Modern 4
Class follows a more traditional class structure. Strong emphasis on concentration, strength, and proficiency in fundamental dance steps, preparing for Pre- Professional training. Includes movement combinations in the center and across the floor. The class also focuses on dance composition, choreography, and improvisation. Students continue to explore dance theater elements such as voice and acting.
Acting
Acting class that explores improvisation, text work, and devised theater.

Voice & Acting Classes
Pre Professional Division
Intensive dance classes for students that aspire to dance in performing arts high schools, collegiate programs, and professional careers.
A trial class is required for placement in this division. Students are typically required to have at least 2 years of training in both Ballet and Modern. Dancers are required to take 2 classes per week minimum.
Students Perform in a Showcase at the end of the year, and may have additional performance opportunities.
Ballet 5
Intermediate barre work, center exercises and movement combinations. Students learn technique and placement, while emphasizing musicality, professionalism and discipline. Students interested in Pointe Work must additionally take Pre-Pointe.
Modern 5
Class includes intermediate movement combinations in the center and across the floor. The class also focuses on dance composition, choreography, and improvisation. Students continue to explore dance theater elements such as voice and acting.
Dance Classes
Ballet 6
Advanced barre work, center excercises and movement combinations. Students learn technique and placement, while emphasizing musicality, professionalism and discipline. Students interested in Pointe Work must additionally take Pre-Pointe.
Modern 6
Class includes advanced movement combinations in the center and across the floor. The class also focuses on dance composition, choreography, and improvisation. Students continue to explore dance theater elements such as voice and acting.
Pre Pointe/Conditioning
Additional ballet class that is longer in duration to further expand upon concepts, and work on pilates based conditioning. Students in this class are preparing to dance en pointe. Open to students in Ballet 5 and 6.
Ephyras Company Class
Students in this class work creatively alongside The Creature, a professional dance company. Students are mentored by the Professional dancers and learn special repertory with ChristinaNoel Reaves.
Acting
Acting class that explores improvisation, text work, and devised theater.

Recreational Dance Classes for Middle School and High School Students.
No Prior Experience Required
